I'm in the process of some winter maintenance on my 2000 Trail Boss 325.

I got a new timing chain and sprockets. My question is, how do you remove the crankshaft slotted nut? All it says in the service manual is to "use the special socket".

Any help would be appreciated!!

 

we used a dull chisel and a hammer....its left hand threads on that nut
the tool is 45 bucks.
