Did I rob or get robbed?

I recently got a 1997 Polaris Xplorer 400 2 stroke 4x4 from a buddy I work with. I traded a Springfield XD .45 service model (valued used @ about $450) and $450 cash. The bike has 1,700 miles on it, brand new tires on the front, fair condition rear tires, needs a new battery, has a new starter, drive clutch, drive belt, stator, all lights work, and the rear rack only has minor cracks in one place. All the plastic is great, minor fading/ scratches. Seat is great, one hole roughly 1.5" round that his dog chewed in it. It was 22 degrees at the house this evening and I turned on the gas, hit the choke and the throttle and it starts on the first pull. Just looking at the info I've given, did I come out good? Or did I just lose a good pistol and $450?
I've seen the book value on them, but it doesn't tell much, and I know the condition and many other factors can affect the value greatly. Thanks in advance for your help, you've got a great forum here and I'm glad to be a part of it.

What is the hand gun worth? If its a ATV 2x4 in any condition (any year, size or model) its worth $1000 at least in Canada,if it's a 4x4 and runs in any condition (any year, size or model) its worth $2000 at least.

The handgun is worth $450.00 average retail. It was a deal for $450 though, less than 100 rounds fired through it, not abused, hell, never even rapid fired. But still, I'd say $450.00.
