Hi all

I pick up my new 500 X2 Deluxe blue 2007 last saturday.. When I back home I check all my fluid, filter, change my front diff fluid...for Lt drive fluid...( just in case ).I do the priming oil pump with success.

The only thing I notice was the noise at idle.....Is that the oil pump make this noise...came from near the oil tank, after awhile running....I notice the noise disapear.....

I have the exact same ATV. When I got it, I thought the engine was rather noisy, particularly in comparison to, say, a Honda. I've gotten used to it and think it's just the nature of the beast. If you're really concerned, take it back to the dealer and ask him, but I suspect you'll find they all sound about the same.

 

did u change the engine oil? Did you purge the whole oil system? is the noise a gurgeling sound from the oil tank? I changed my oil and purged the whole oil system and I got the same noise. If thats what you did then you have air in the oil system. Prime the system a few more times and it should go away. It took me for ever to get all the air out. Also when its really cold mine makes a gurgle until the oil is warm then it goes away. I think becuase the oil is thick from the cold but I am NO expert. Is your oil filter getting hot? Is the oil tank getting hot? if those 2 are hot then your ok I would say
I wont ever purge the whole oil system again - too much of a pain in the *** - im just going to change it more often

 

I have not changing the engine oil already...I got only 2 hours ( brand new ) I purge/prime the oil pump two time with succes.....when I came back from the dealer.....the noise sound what you said......gurgeling sound !!! My filter is hot and everything look good....but it take awile for the sound to go away.....maybe your right....when everything is hot the noise dissapear......FUNNY. Next weekend I try to prime the oil pump a couple of time again.....
