Default petcock question-rather important

hey everyone -if i leave my petcock on for a month or more will it cause flooding? and, if i try to start it and it doesnt start is it because i left the petcock on all that time? so if i shut off the petcock and let it sit for a while i should be able to start it with no problem? thank you all so much for you help

Welcome to the forum sundiroatvs!

You have most likely flooded your engine. I would pull the spark plug, and turn the engine over a little to get the extra gas out. Then put the plug back in and try starting it again. From now on I would shut the gas off after every ride or at the end of the day of riding.
