Default Update on the Jetmoto 110cc

Everything still appears to be holding together during the break in procedure. There are a couple of slight "issues" that I really do not understand so maybe someone can help. First of all, The oil dip stick is extremely difficult the access due to the fact that it is right behind the exhaust pipe. DO NOT check your oil while the bike is warm or you will be sorry. Second, I do not see how to adjust the headlights on this little machine. Right out of the box they shine about 6 feet in front of the bike. And lastly...There appears to be about a 1/8 inch hole directly in the bottom of the exhaust silencer. Don't have any idea wht it does or why its there. It doesn't appear to affect anything, The only thing I noticed is that it allows condensation or moisture to drip out of that hole onto the frame. I would imagine over time that hole is gonna get bigger!! Does anybody have any recommendations for any of these issues. These again are mild concerns and are not going to stop me or my son from enjoying this machine.
Thanks....

Default Update on the Jetmoto 110cc

The 150 Jet I have does not have a high and low beam switch just an on and off switch for the headlights. However the headlight bulbs I noticed have high and low beam and the wire harness coming off the headlights is a 3 wire (ground/high/low). But of course they only connected the low beams. I was going to pull the wire out of the plug and switch around the low and high beam wires so the high beams come on. As I too noticed on mine that the headlights were quite "low". We do go for a ride sometimes in the dark in the winter so it would be nicer if they were a little higher.

Congrats on your purchase and thanks for the review moomba99!

I bought what looks like a miniature transmission funnel to fill the oil on my Jetmoto 125. It is a pain to reach.

The only Jetmoto I have ridden that has usable headlights is the Jetmoto Hunter. The rest of them seem to be for looks only. Im going to try Sawyers idea about hooking up the high beam.

The little hole in the muffler is for condensation to drip out of and not collect in the muffler.

Welcome to the forum B-in-wv!

As far as Im concerned Jetmoto is the best quad coming out of China right now. They use a lot of components from Taiwan and Japan that the other Chinese brands dont.

What size quad are you thinking of buying and what will you be using if for?

I appreciate the welcome. I am looking at the hunter 250 at raceway. I would prefer to have a honda or yamaha but just can not justify budgeting that much at this time where as that seems like a decent bike at a more than fair price. I will be using for some off road fun, little mud a few creeks but probably once every other weekend, so I will not be using it daily. any advice greatly appreciated.

My father inlaw has a '06 Jetmoto Hunter, it works well for him. The '07 Jetmoto Hunter is different and a much better quad. Have you seen this thread in the RaceWay section?

OK....Here's what I know so far. The Jetmoto appears to have alot "riding" behind it. Jetmoto has a stake in Raceway ATV as well as Chinese ATV parts. That being said, There is many people out there who can and are very willing to help with any questions or concerns you may have. I personally have spoke with people from all three companies (JetmotoUSA, Chinese ATV parts, Raceway.) The BIGGEST kudos are the support as well as parts. There is alot of fear with regards to support for these little imports. I just bought the 110cc and am already looking forward to getting some upgrades (which Jetmoto does have) When I researched buying a chinese ATV I was very sceptical due to the fact that there was not a dealer locally to be found that would work on them let alone offer parts or suport. Other manufacturers would not return my phone calls when inquiring about service or parts. JetmotoUSA as well as Chinese atvparts were right there. Please keep in mind that I am not a dealer, I just did my research. So far I am very pleased with the 110cc. Are there any issues....look at my previous posts. All in all I think you'll find this company is gonna be around awhile as others fade.

Oh yeah B-in_wv, as far as a review...I posted one a few days ago. I got mine for my son, received it on Friday of last week. Put it together that afternoon, It started within 2-3 seconds after first start. I have since put it through it's initial break in procedure and every time I start it, it is right there purring waiting to go. I have yet to get it out and really "romp" on it but like I mentioned earlier, It takes my 275lb. A$$ right around the neighborhood like it was no bid deal. Not to say this is appropriate for the break-in....I just couldn't resist.

For anybody in Southern Calif. Borreem Motor Sports (BMS) is an good Chinese quad as well. They have there headquarters here and they provide good support.
I bought a 110 and have had only minor issues which they always help me with.
I don't know if I'd buy one outside of so cal. I'd have probably gone with the Jetmoto.

I'm gonna check the headlights when I get home. If it has a high and low beam I am going to tie them in together..........going to Glamis this weekend and my kid really likes to putt around at night.
