Default help i kno some of u guys ride sleds

hey guys i know this isnt the place to ask but i have come here befor when i needed help with sleds and got more help here than on hcs.com i have a 1994 yamaha vmax dx and i was wournding bout what the idel is spouse to be on it it sets at 1500 and i think it must eb a little low i think it should be around 2000 at idel would be andy and all help will be helpfull

The idle RPM is 1550 +/- 100 RPM for your 1994 Vmax 500 or 600 Dx.

its a 600 thank u for ur info will it bother it if the idel is is at 2000

no, it should not hurt anything if it is up at 2000 rpm, it will just warm up quicker (not always a good thing). The 2000 rpms is far enough away from the cluch engagment RPM's of 3500. This is assuming your have the same primary cluch spring (Blue-yellow-blue).

its the stock clutch set up....i think ill jsut leave it at about 1500 so that way it dont go through plugs all the time

corey, turn it down to where it belongs you will have less issues in the long run. the clutch should engage around 3,500 rpms. make sure your belt sits in the sled secondary(back clutch) i like i showed you on the xlt.
