Default 07 Deluxe Rims??

I was just wondering if anyone has had any problems with rims rusting? I have a 07 500EFI Sportsman Deluxe with the factory aluminum rims. I'm noticing some rusting on the rims and not sure if I should be scubbing away at it or bring it in to the dealer. Is this normal or not??

Any of the machined surfaces of the rim will be subject to corrosion. I'd say that the dealer isn't responsible for that. Attention to detail by the owner comes into play here. The more often you clean and polish certain parts of your ATV, the longer they will look good.

I have to agree on this one. Aluminum does not rust as it is not a ferrus metal. They can corrode but that usually only happens if the aluminum comes into contact with a corrosive material. Should not happen on a fairly new machine. Are yoyu sure you are not seeing mud stains?

I've got rusty nuts and rusty center caps but no corrosion on the rims themselves.
