Congrats on the new purchase!
Now add an aftermarket exhast, open up the airbox, rejet the carb and you'll really feel a difference in the power!

yeah Im still waiting for an opportunity to take a clean pic of my bike so I can make a picture page on here! Maybe when I crawl under my house and turn the hose back on this spring. I just try to beat the clock at the car wash spraying all the caked on **** off before I take it home and cover it back up!
The 400ex is the only quad I have ever owned. I'm sure you will like it more and more every time you ride it. I would like to have a ute one day, but I'm not going to give up my 400 to buy one! It just sucks when all the 4x4's go through the mudholes in front of me, and I have to find a way around!
Good luck with your new toy!

I'll give you to June and you'll be wanting more power!
My wife had her 400EX for just over a year before I piped it and jetted it for her.
Tons more power.
She stepped up from a 250EX (same as a Recon 250) Oh, and she's 51 years young!

well yea, i know i will eventually want more power, but i plan on getting used to it the way it is now, then upgrading to maybe +2a-arms, some better shocks, and then go for power. it seems smarter to me to go for better handling before better power. but that might just be the saftey first part of my brain kicking in..
