Im loosing a good amount of oil it seems like. My rancher starts the first time every time but it has a good amount of white smoke when i fisrt start it. After only several rides im already low on oil.what are the reasons its burning oil and how can i resolve this problem. Im assuming is burning oil? Thanks.

 

Smoke when starting is often valve guides, but if it is burning oil that fast I'd also suspect the rings.

What oil are you using? Can you run a compression test?

 

ive never done a compression test. how do i do that?

 

anyone know what the compression psi should be?

 

Probably needs new rings and valve stem seals
