Just wondering what everybody thinks Polaris should have on the Polaris 700 if it comes out this year? What should they improve on and/or what options should they add to make it the best Polaris ever? Curious to hear ideas for both the Sportsman and the Scrambler models.
Here are some of my ideas:
Fuel injection?
lighter weight?
aluminum wheels?
26" tires?
fuel gauge?
digital speedo similar to Kawi?
visco lock used on the Magnum RMK500?
More aluminum or lightweight parts?

i want the new viscoloc front end,
headlights with better reflectors, like the sleds have
electric fuel and temp. gage.
bigger alternator, 300 watts or up
ITP magnums as a factory option.

i think the 700 is a Inline twin not a v-twin

A weigh reduction for sure.

Ability to use all three headlights at once.

How about a push button 4X4 system like that on a Yamaha, but make it automatically lock the front diff. when the rear wheels start spinning faster than the front.

Pre-load spring adjustment cams for the front end

All I can say is lose 100 pounds and scrap the macpherson's and put in double A-Arms in the front with the same setup as the back. They also could throw in the visco locking differential, and say goodbye to AWD hub problems.

COME ON POLARIS YOU CAN DO IT, IF YOU DO YOU WILL BE GREATLY REWARDED!!!!

The added power of the 700 would be great.
As far as changes I would like to see it have some light weight parts such as aluminam floorboards and wheels, warn #2500 winch multimount standard, suppertrapp exhaust or something simalar standard, and better lighting in front and backup lights in the rear.
Other than weight I am perfectly satisfied with every Polaris atv I have ever owned and don't really mind having to add my own personal options but it would be nice if the factory would trick one of these things out at least as a special edition.
I personally don't like fuel injection,it gives good throttle response but a properly tuned carb makes more power and is easier to maintane.

I think the greatest need is for the unit (sp 500 ho) to go a diet. A tach and a light to let you know what your selector shift is in.( low, high, reverse). A fuel guage would be nice but it would be low on the list. Front and rear brakes that are not connected.

01' sp 500 ho
stock for now
