Have they gone to only Aluminum yet for theose years , the 2003 and newer are longer than the 2000 to 2003 and make putting the axle on a pain in teh royal fanny pack.

I called Cam Am , they said call the dealer, dealer says call Can Am, fricken spaz monkeys!!!

Erbe,
The stock replacements are aluminum. I posted about this awhile back, and I ordered a stock replacement for my 2000 from Bike Bandit and it was aluminum.

Are you guys sure the 04+ fit previous models? (at least 00-02?) I was told by some they are slightly different and will NOT fit...?

I am looking to do this as well, and will go through bike bandit if they can get me an ALUM one that will fit my 2001! After reading how much trouble people had getting the stock ones off...it makes me not want to swap it out though (I just did a 2 week bearing replacement due to quite a few hang-ups! and dont really want to go ripping the axle out again..lol).

Roost the newer ones will not fit. I ordered one and had to sell it on e-bay. I then ordered a stock replacement for my 2000 and it was aluminum. It was $82 from Bike Bandit...

I just checked to make sure my order was for a 2000 DS and it was.....
