how do you check transmission oil in the 450r

Default how do you check transmission oil in the 450r

hey i have a 450r and i know there are two spots for oil but there is only one seeing glass i was just wondering if its for both or if there is another one somewheres on the quad thanks

Default how do you check transmission oil in the 450r

There is no viewing glass for the tranny.
There is the drain plug, the filler plug and the oil check bolt. This is a small bolt on the side of the case (transmission side) that you remove when filling the tranny with oil. You fill the tranny until oil comes out the check bolt hole, replace the check bolt and then add a little more oil.

Default how do you check transmission oil in the 450r

Fill it until it comes out the weep hole. Take it for a very short ride, and the level will drop. Refill it to the weep hole, cap the hole, than add at least an extra 100cc's. See this post for an explanation: http://forums.atvconnection.co...atid/8/threadid/538837
