Crack In Crank Cask
#1
I have an 87 warrior and the part of the crank case that the chain gaurd bolts into broke off at the top or in other words it broke off were the top bolt hole is for the chain gaurd. This left a whole in the crank case about 3/4 to 1 in wide. I tried fixing it with jb weld and it worked for a wile but then got a little crack in it wich gave me a slow oil leak. I did do this during winter so mayde the JB Weld didnt set right but if anyone knows a different way to fix this without takeing the crank case apart let me know. Thanks, Mark

depending on the location and how easy it is to get to. you might be able to take it to a local machine shop or welder. or someone who can weld aluminum and go from there. shouldn't be to hard to do. i'm surprised the JB weld didn't hold but then again that is a big hole.

Do u know if it is hard to take the crank case apart? Is there a lot that could go wrong? I have little experience working on the warriors engine. the most i have done is work on the carb.
