04 700EFI Loosing Power (Bogging Down)
#1
I have a 2004 700EFI. It was running fine two weeks ago, now it seems to bog down with practically no power when it warms up. Turn off the machine for a few minutes and it regains power only for a minute or two then it starts bogging down again and won't run. It idles fine and no codes are in the system. Any suggestions????

fuel filter is probably plugged, you can find the filter bolted to frame under the front rack and front cover.
they use a common filter available at any auto parts store filter fits any 85- 98 ford ranger. uses 2 plastic clips to connect to the fuel line.

you could also remove filter and just clean it out. find arrow on filter indicating flow direction. plug the IN side and spray carb cleaner in the OUT side for about 10 seconds. let sit for 30 seconds while plugging both ends with your fingers, shake filter holding both ends then use air nozzle to blow through the filter, reversed flow, against arrow. you would not believe the **** that will come out of there.

well 94harley saved the day(he gave me a pump), I put that pump in last fall in my gararge, it was cold and below freezing. well when i put it all back together the shifter dident move so I said well it must be stuck between gears, ill start it and it should shift, well because of stupid safty fetures it never started and I thought i had eletricle problems. well the other day it was warm , and i was wondering if i had some water in the shift linkage box that frose so I tried moving the shifter. It shifter to park, I then tried it and the thing started right up. I then went for a ride and all was fine and dandy. It was the fule pump after all.
So Thanks 94harley the ATV is fixed!

Thanks for all the help. I change the fuel filter first, didn't work, then I changed the fuel pump which now comes with the whole darn gas tank assembly. That did the trick. Works good, for now. Thanks Again!
