Default 86 fourtrax 350 front master cylinder

I have an 86 fourtrax that has a bad front master cylinder. when i pump the brake it gets hard, but when i releaseit, the fluid shoots back up into the resevoir. is there a rebuild kit i can get for this? i was also wondering if i could use a master cylinder from something else, like another 4 wheeler, or motorcycle. i would think that anything would work as long as the fittings match up. thanks for the help?

Cheap Cycle Parts has a master cylinder set for about $30.

You want one new, buy one for the new 500 Foremans and Rubicons. Or the Rancher 420. You will have to buy a brake lever for the same model because yours will not fit the 500 master cylinder, but the whole setup including the lever is less than 75 bucks from your dealer because Honda is using a vendor from China on these pieces for the new Foremans and Rancher 420 models. I have been buying these to replace master cylinders on all types of ATVs for the past 2 years. They use the industry standard 10mm brake line bolt so they fit nearly everything out there.
