I purchased a new John Deer roller cage and bearings . I just removed the differential today and found my (270 mile ) cage in pieces. I installed the new parts and all seem to be working well.Thanks to all with part #s and suggestions. John deer part #s mia10666 roll kit, mia10667 roll cage assembly. I hope this info helps someone.

now just becareful not to shift into awd wheile wheels ae spinning. glad that its back together for ya.

 

the weakest link on a popo...such a well built atv from the ground up and a cheesey plastic diff cage..i know i have chewed up 3 of them and have never,ever shifted into 4x while spinnning..guess I am just luckey like that

 

i wonder if the extra pressure of the big tires have any long time effect on that savage? like you said most of the time its the spinning wheels that get ya on the breaking part.

 

The John Deer cage was plastic. It is black instead of the white Polaris one. I hope it is a better grade of plastic. Its holding up so far .
