Does anyone know what the top speeds are for these stock machines?

 

52 depending on rider weight

 

ATV Sport says the 300ex goes around 46-48mph stock

 

The 300EX will do over 50.I would say 50-57MPH.

 

I ran my stock 300ex next to my dads truck wide open and the speedometer said 60. I think that the radars that the mags used are screwed.

 

YOU CANNOT GO BY RIDING NEXT TO VEHICLE. THE SPEED IS ABOUT 50-52 TOPS

Oh, that burns me up. I have people come up to me every day and say, "Your stats on the Yamaha R1 are screwed up!" I tell people. We did it with a DOT approved radar gun. It indicated 167mph. Then they say, "Well, I've ridden one! It goes 200mph. Those guns are screwed." LISTEN GUYS. NOTHING IS MORE ACCURATE THAN A RADAR GUN. when my 300ex was all stock except for the DG pipe, i was running 55mph. Now with the big bore kit I am looking at somewhere around 65-67mph. It all depends on your gearing as well, I have mine geared a bit lower than usaul just for the local track. Outr track does not have nay real long staights so I need the lower end power. Hope this helps.

 

my friend has one and we ran it beside my new H.O. and my H.O. will run about 63 or 64. I would have to say that the 300ex will run 55 or 56 maybe less. Somewhere around in there. But now his was a 96 model so i don't know what the new one run?
