'07 Grizzly transmission help
#1
I was out on the weekend and had a rough time, flipped my Grizzly over (got outta the way thank goodness) and then broke through some ice and sunk it till it was almost sucking in water, stalled out a couple of times while underwater but re-started ok. When we got her out of the hole about a gallon of dirty water came out of the drain hole, the belt was completely slipping and when everything started working again(mostly) I find that I'm redlining the engine at about 30mph in high range , would any of you more knowledgeable folks have any suggestions? I'm p[lanning on taking the sidecover off and washing her out , or am I in more trouble than that? any help at all would be greatly appreciated
thanks in advance

Disassemble the primary and secondary clutch sheaves. Clean the primary clutch and re-grease the sheave and rollers. Make sure the rollers are properly aligned and moving correctly. Then reassemble the clutch, and you should be good as new again. A new belt would be worth while being as you're already in there working on it. The Yamaha belt is better quality than aftermarket belts, but cost more if you buy it at a local dealer. I would shop one of the on-line OEM parts suppliers, like motogrid.com.
