Can anybody tell me what the major differences are between the 99 and 2000 models?

I have an friend that's selling his 99 model for about $4400. He's put a hot seat? pipe on it. Re-jetted carb. Shock covers. Modified clutch. Less than 20 hours. He hasn't hardly ridden it. It was wrecked one time and does need a new set of handlebars and needs a new front rim.

I've seen 2000 models on the net for about the same price? but unknown condition.

Talking to local dealer and he recommends the 2000 of course, but i'm wondering about compatibility if it's different than the 95-99 years for aftermarket parts? etc?
