Anyone disable the remote control system
#1
I need to disable my remote control/alarm box, I cant find a schematic or wiring diagram so has anyone ever disables this system
on their CHinese quad? My mini panther 110 didnt come with a manual either so any help on how to remove this and get back to just
basic operation would be appreciated.

the remote box has a pig tail and just unplugs from the wiring harness, now this is what happens when it 's unplugged, the atv will start and run fine no problem but if you use the key to shut the engine off it will not shut down the engine you must use the handle bar switch.

check your earthing , i have the same prob with my kill switch recently i had accidently pulled the wire out of the connector in the harness and found out that if that is earthed it will kill the engine so if the kill switch isnt working right then it might be an easy fix to cut it from the harness and just put a small terminal on it and put it under one of the engine bolts to earth it

yep if you dont run it for a week or 2 it will kill the batt the batts in these arent really designed for any heavy use and these days you ant even get a really decent one to replace it (not in aussie anyway) because everyones trying to get cheap stuff , i believe the wire for the kill switch was a black or greyish one on mine , its easiest to follow the wiring from the set on the kill sw/starter/lights set on the handle bars down to where it connects at the plug to the rest of the harness you will find that if you follow it all the way it will most likely come to a large bundle that have been joined into one wire thats when you know when youre n the right track pretty simple to find , start by taking off the switch set usually 2 allen key bolts then all you have to do is trace the 2 wires coming from the kill sw down to the connector , follow both wires from the matching one on the other side of the connector , keep folloing until you find that one gets joined into a bunch of them and the other goes into the ign wiring, the one that gets into a bundle is where a heap of grounds meet and it will go to a thicker lead which is usually bolted to the side of the motor , if the kill sw isnt working then thats where your fault will be make sure its secure on the motor and follow it back testing all the joins as you go , it helps if the engine is running and the kill sw is set to kill while you do this so that if it is a bad earth then when youre fiddling with the wires when you come to the bad spot it should kill the engine an easy way to find the fault . what i did on mine was simply find which one was the earth and cut it off at the connector and earthed it to a bolt on the frame instead of screwing around with wiring that doesnt really need to be there anyway . hope its helpful to you mate

take off cdi box</end quote></div>
The CDI box (Capacitive Discharge Ignition) controls the entire ignition system on these engines. It controls the timing and duration of the Ignition Spark that the Coil sends to the Spark Plug. The engine would NEVER run without it !!!!

I found this post while looking around; This is a copy of what user 'copotay' had posted;
I have been having problems with the batt staying charged and was reading other posts about the sunls which also have this alarm/remote start causing battery drain even when the key is off. I have the Utility 100 from Raceway and was wondering if anyone can tell me how to disconnect these added features. I read where some you just unplug the alarm/remote, but some you have to bypass by rewiring.
Ok I went looking around on the Utility 100 atv and found a red fuse that is plugged into a white plastic connector that is underneath the front end of the atv right beneath the plastic in between the frame. I took the fuse out and it has disabled the alarm/remote key start. It will not start with the remote nor will it sound off the alarm when pressing the alarm on the remote, however the atv still does start and turn off by turning on and off the key. I also noticed that with the key off I inserted the fuse to make sure that is was disabling it and when you insert the fuse you get a tick sound from the speaker, therefore even if the key is off this is using battery power. So I will try to see if this works to avoid battery drain. I hope this helps others with the similar problem.
