Hello All,
I just had my motor rebuilt and its running awesome but its now back firing when I let off the gas. Any clue what could be the cause? Any help would be great.
Thanks

Lean jetting...either to little fuel or to much air! If it was running great and suddenly started doing it, it could be a clogged jet or a leak in the air intake somewhere.

Hey Thanks I am not sure about the jetting but I will look into it. As far as the leaking air I check the air box and the carb they both look fine.
How do you adjust the jetting and I would assume its getting to much fuel right?
I ordered a service manual for my ride, I cant wait to get it.

If it is lean, it will be getting to little fuel. Does it idle fine??? The most common thing is that when it sits around (particularly with current fuel formulations), stale fuel cruds up the slow (idle/pilot) jet. A good carb cleaning never hurts (paying patricular attention to the slow jet), and readjust the fuel screw will probably help.
