New motor or new quad?
#1
I bought a Kazuma 110 for my son three years or so ago. I have replaced the clutch, modified the airbox and abused this quad myself! This weekend the thing started to smoke like crazy, at least until the oil ran out. Even at that it ran great! Is there any rebuild kits for these? Or even any new motors? I know that most people think that these are throw away quads. But I am just looking for any info to aid in keep my son into ATV riding. Oh and BTW I would still buy another chinese quad over the big 4! I have only put about $100 into it over 3 years for a total of $1000. And did I mention that I beat the crap out of this thing? Other than NO bottom end these are a great starter quad!!

A new 110cc engine with electric start will run about $250-300 delivered to your door and a new 110cc ATV will run about $500-700 delivered if you shop around depending on the model. If it just needs rings then Kazuma sells a ring kit at http://www.kazumaatvparts.com/ and below are some good engine choices, the Lifan has reverse with 3 forward gears and the Sunny (lower end) has 4 forward gears no reverse but comes complete as a kit.

Semi-auto

The semi-auto models usually have 3 speed forward and 1 reverse gear and the auto models are just forward and reverse. The semi-auto would allow you to have more power for climbing hills by shifting down manually and with semi-auto there is no worrying about using a clutch so it's easy for a kid to use. If your in the market for another 110cc I would look hard at the Hi-bird as it has a lot of features for the money on a full size frame and is semi-auto. Best of luck...............

I just bought two Kazuma 110 Falcons for my boys 6 months ago and so far they have been great. If you look on Raceway's site, they also sell whole replacement engines that you could probably swap out in a few hours. I think they were around $300.00 for the new engine, but I haven't looked closely. They also stock most of the Kazuma parts, which I think included ring kits etc.

Parts for these bikes are so cheap, its often more practical to just "pluck and chuck" when having issues with something. I needed a carb cleaning and tuning done on the 250 I have, but a brand new carb wasnt but 45 bux.
