I have a 95 Polaris sportsman 400 4x4 that dies out when put in reverse at times and also when i hit the reverse override switch. It also will die out when i have it in low gear and moving. Its like i hit the kill switch and shuts off but it will start right up again. Any ideas ??? Thanks

 

Check the wiring that goes to the control that houses the override, kill switch, lights and starter button. Mine was acting funny and I found some wiring that had worn through.

 

I checked the wires in that housing and they all look good, no sign of wearing through or cut. If there was a problem in the override switch, would it effect for when i put it in reverse and stalls?? Thanks
