smoke showing
#1
I finally got my rig back up and running after replacing the flywheel key. it is running like it has in the past which is bad. It is smokey and keeps fouling the plug. I think it has to do with the choke cable I replaced recently. The book says it may be improperly routed, bent or in need of adjustment. I see how to adjust it with the little wheel in the middle. It is all the way closed now (the little wheel) so it can only go one way and that doesnt seem to help. any idea what it could be? Airfilter is clean, compression is good, ignition system too.

book uses both terms but no i dont usually use it. i replaced it because i broke the lever while removing the front plastic. anyway i got a new choke cable and replaced it I must have messed something up because something has been a little off since then and it has gotten worse.

if its an enrichern, most likely you could have it adjusted wrong and its not seating all the way down letting to much gas in. kinda the same way w/ a butterfly style choke. make sure there is a little slack in the lever if its a flip up style.
