I dont think it has a rev limiter or any such thing. Does it stall when you let out the clutch or as soon as you move the lever?

Somethings up with the reverse wiring. When I had my reverse wire unhooked by the reverse shifter it stalled when put into reverse. I would check to make sure that is hooked up and is grounded good.

Ok...just had same problem........there is a clutch safety switch attatched to the bottom of the clutch perch on the handlebars. the wires lead down under the headlamp assembly and a wire came loose on mine.

It may be a lose wire or it may be broken at the handlebars. There is on on top of your clutch perch that only lets you run at idle when your emergency brake is on, this one is below that one, you have to roll back the rubber boot and there is a catch clip you push in and it slides out.

Try to mannually hold it in and see if it works then, if not trace the wires and check to see if they are connected.

Let me know if this helps

GOOD LUCK!
