well anyway its in the transfer case.i guess whenever it got put into 4wheel drive it got stuck.the whining i hear is in the front not the tranny

 

sounds like you are not making a good contact to the switch that stops juice to the electric motor. remove the 2/4wd motor from the differential and open it up. make sure it is clean and dry inside, also make sure there is free movement.

are you talking about the actuator?becouse i deconnected it yesterday and the whining stopped.i was going to get a new one.but i dont know.thanx for the help.
