I went out to ride my 500 tonite and I looked down and the speedometer was not working, the RPM guage was working fine just I couldn't tell how fast I was going. When i shut the key off the needle drops below zero like it should and when I turn the key on to let the fuel pump prime it goes to zero but not past that. Any thoughts or suggestions thanks

Thanks for the help old polaris tech, I took the sensor off and buffed it with emery cloth and tried it again but still didn't work. I will order a new sensor and cable from my dealer this week
