When reassembling the clutch how much hi temp grease do you use, and what type. Is regular hi temp bearing grease ok. Any recommendations? Also, if one roller is flat, do replace the bad one, or all rollers?

Figure ya found grease in there when ya took it apart so ya wondered what kind to put back in. Both of mine where full of old grease that looked like dirty clay. I put them back together clean with no grease & new rollers. No problems. Some folks put a little dab of grease on the rollers to hold them in place while assembling but in my opinion that just gives the dust & dirt something to stick to. I only replace rollers with flats on them but that's up to you. Just get used to opening the thing up and checking/cleaning the rollers & clutches.
Good Luck

Others have recommended high temp grease (member LT-80). Just wanted to know, for sure, what they meant before re-assmbly. In particuar, the type and perhaps the brand that they have successfully used. No thanks for the 10w40 remark.

Thanks Otis,
But what kind of grease do you just "dab"in to hold the rollers in place. Is it regular grease used to pack bearings, or white lithium, or what. A specific answer would be appreciated, as some pranksters recommended 10w40!
