I just got home from buying my first ATV. After a lot of research and speaking with many of you I decided to go with a Honda...so I got a Rancher ES, its blue and an 07. I was going to get a Rancher that was non-ESP, but those apparently don't come with a speed/odometer reading...which I really want. Looking forward to meeting and getting to know people on this forum..and of course, riding the new bike. Thanks to all that helped me make this decision. Hopefully in a few years I will be buying another one for my wife.

Thanks,

Coach

A fine choice in a quad... I'm sure you will get many years of fun out of it.

A winch is a must in my opinion. I been glad for having it a few times now on my Rancher. This is a must next to safety gear of course

Congrats. What did you pay OTD (I'm looking at the same model and color for the wife).

Warning... it will backfire a few times when new.

For accessories, a winch would be nice, as would your choice of bag, and an upgrade in tires would also be on my list...

I'd reccommend this:

1. Winch: especially if you ride alone.

2. Tires. I started with 27" XTR's on 14" ss112's. Lots more ground clearance & traction than the stock 24's

3. Lift? You can get a 2" lift on ebay now for about $75 shipped. (I have one ordered)

4. Snorkel: if you like deep water or mud. Try www.bayousnorkels.com
