Default Trying again Outlaw 525 IRS Owners ?

Can anyone suggest a good source for replacement cv joints and if you have expierenced this problem. Local dealer wants 210.00 a piece for them. A friend who has 06 Outlaw 500 had to replace his after about 60 hours of trail riding. Almost $1200.00. trying to avoid that $$ if possible. Manual says inside ones are not serviceable.

You can buy the whole complete rear end for $580 all together from the factory. Then just swap it your self. The chances are the inner bearings are gone, and that is making the rear end do to much movement for the cv joints. Look up the parts diagram on the Polaris web site and just get a new rear end. Then use the one now for spare parts. If you were to buy each part seperate, it would cost over $1800.

Like Gary said there are some online stores that have the complete whole unit for $490. Chances are the CVT joints are good. It is the inner bearings that start to wear allowing the whole end to move around.
