I just bought this machine and when I got it home it ran great. Now at an Idle it runs great, when you hit the throttle and come off idle it spits & sputters. Anybody have an Idea of what the problem could be. This ATV is new to me and I'm not familar with it. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks
Rob

Couple things to check is your air filter, check carb boot for cracks (boot between the carb and head) and exhaust donut gasket at the manifold. Also when mine was new I had the rubber gourmets come off the carb bracket and was letting the rubber boot separate from the back of the carb and was causing it to sputter.

There is also an inline fuel filter that you can change too. It wouldn't hurt to find the drain screw on the bottom of the bowl on carb and let that drain a little either.

While your at it IF still has those D**N Champion plugs, replace with NGK BKR6E. Had 02 and 03 machines that spit and sputter because of fouled Champions! Just a thought. Good Luck.

another thing is to check all the vent hoses coming from the carb. make sure they are on there and are not kinked or clogged up.
