Hi

I got a 425 magnum (norwegian) with a strange problem. After i canged the gearbox and started, it wouldent go on full trottle. i removed the airfilterbox to look in the carb, and then the problem dissapered!? then i took out the airfilter, and just monted the box. the problem came back. The atv simply wount go full throttle with just the rubberhose to the filter attatched?

Any suggestions?

Will it run right with clean filter and air box all back together?

 

No, it wount run with airfilter complete, emtty box, or just the rubberhose. its poffing even with my finger a little bit over the "carb_intake"

 

Has it been sitting awhile? Might be old gas, if it sat awhile it may need carb cleaned and new gas put in , some sea foam might help also.

 

allready done it. new gas, refurbished carb, and new gasfilter..

 

I think there is a vacuum leak or a hose off somewhere but I dont know. Try spraying starter fluid outside the carb and around the airbox at an idle if it revs or bogs then it is leaking somewhere.

 

it bogs or almost sops when i spray stargas around the rubberintake/carb, but i cant see any cracks in the intakemanifold..
