trx200sx cluth help please???
#1
i purchased an 86 trx200sx last week and got it running and the clutch slipped really bad under a load, i also noticed that it was a little noisy. When i would shut off the machine you could still hear something spinning inside the case on the right side and after a couple seconds you could hear it catch and the noise would stop. I took it apart and replaced the rear clutch(one with the plates and discs). Now when i drive it the clutch works great but it seems like its a little noisy down there still. Makes a little noise on acceleration and i can hear occasional clunks when shutting the motor off. I am tempted to try replacing the weights and springs in the primary clutch....could this be the culprit? loose cam chain?
thanks for your help

anyone? im not sure what to check next. I dunno if its related but occasionally i get a noise that sounds like a light knock, maybe a rod bearing or something but it only soes it on acceleration, hold a steady speed and you dont hear it.

The spinning you hear is the sprag in the centrifugal clutch .. The sprag (oneway clutch) is used for engine braking ..
