Working Limits of a Renegade 800?
#1
Howdy yall,
Just want to start by saying I'm now a very happy owner of a 08 800 Gader. Funny how walk you into a dealer with your old lady to get her a quad and end up giving her your old one (wolverine 450) and buying a new one for yourself! I have a couple questions for anyone who has had a Renegade for any length of time. I would like to use it for light utility work........plowing my drive way with a 48" blade , pulling my little 800lb fishing boat in and out of the water, or draging a deer out of the woods. I am just worried about weak frame issues I have read about all over the web. Anyone think this sort of thing could possably pose any issues with the frame? I do understand this sort of stuff puts extra strain on the machine and will be replacing CVT belts and other "wear items" sooner. I'm really not a big jumper or someone who rides very technical terrian. So I'm not worried so much about the frame while I just riding it.
So in short my Q is: does anyone think it will do okay doing what I'm describing or would I be better off getting an old utililty to use as a beater? I would much prefer to only worry about taking care of one machine if I can get away with it.

I would recommend some skidplates pronto. Ricochets have extra protection on the front frame spar area.
I cant see why the 'Gade cant work fine. Ppl use the Outlanders for work, and the 'Gades have the same frame. Take care of it, should be fine. But I really do recommend some decent skidplates.
