rubber intake boot for blaster

Default rubber intake boot for blaster

does any one know if yamaha or any aftermarket part company sell a bigger rubber boot . i have a kehin 30mm flatside carb on my blaster and it s a bitch getting that rubber boot on i have to stretch it to get it on. can any help me out

well u can easily stretch those out wider or longer. you just gotta use a torch very carefully and a jar or bottle to insert into it then clamp the boot to the jar or whatever you can find then heat it up a lil and you can pull it to make it longer but im guessing u want the mouth of the intake boot to be a little bigger so that it will fit on the airbox side of the carb? if so you can basically do the same thing but try to gradually stretch the mouth open while using heatgun or torch. maybe you can heat it up then just put on some good thick gloves and try to stretch it open by hand little at a time and see if it will fit over your carb until its near perfect, but id be very carefull and take your time.

could i just remove ruuber boot and run air cleaner from the back of carb or do i really need that boot
