Default lectron tuning

I have a lectron on my ds and the other day i was riding and the motor kept revving even after i let off the throttle. I kept pulling the clutch back in and letting it out kinda slowly to choke the motor back down then i was fine. So during a rest break i pulled the hose off the back and turned my metering rod one direction and it made it worse. So i turned it the other way and it solved my problem. So my problem is already solved, however i would like to know if i was rich or lean and what direction does what for future problems. So if anyone knows anything about tuning a lectron i would appreciate it.

your throttle cable was probably sticking causing the slide to stay open a little bit, i'd maybe check that out maybe its a little tight somewere or worn out.

well that's what lectrons website says too, but i read somewhere else that if u are too rich or too lean i cant remember which, it makes the motor wonder and rev. When i adjusted my metering rod, it fixed the problem. I just want to know how to do it the right way the first time without guessing which way to turn it.

If its wandering and revving then its more than likely lean.

To richen turn the rod into the slide (making rod shorter).

To lean turn the rod out of the slide (making rod longer).

Make sure the flat side of the rod is pointing towards the motor.

The bike bogging/stuttering under acceleration, blowing dark black smoke out the pipe, black/fouled plugs.
