Throttle set up 1981 Big Red 200ES

Throttle set up 1981 Big Red 200ES
After 25 year I finally had to replace my throttle cable. Except I am a bit confused on how it all fits together. There is only a needle and a small v shaped part as well as a spring but it is not making sense. Can someone help?
