Default 2005 Yamaha Raptor 660 Best Exhaust Mod

Well im sure this has been gone over but im not the kind of person that has patience sorry..but anyway i am wondering what would be a good inexpensive way to make my exhaust louder i have driven it with just headers on and i have learned that isnt good to do so is there a way to make it so it doesnt damage it? because i have seen racing headers and they drive them like that so how does that work? and i kno u can get good sounding after market exhausts but i dont really want to spend 300 bucks or more so i was just wondering if there is a good quick fix that wont jeopardize my machines overall wellness well thanks for looking

i just took the spark arrestor/baffle out of mine it made quite a difference. i dont remember what it took to do it but i know you need to take the end cap off the muffler and i think it just pulls out with pliers but im not sure. its been 5 years since i did mine. it may have a little tack weld or something but i know it didnt take much.

Yeah about all you can do is pull the baffle out, but it will still sound like crap, but be a little louder and won't sacrifice any power. If you cut the guts out of the muffler, it will lose the backpressure and then your bike will not go as fast.

Thats gay. If you want to be louder on the cheap take all the baffle out of your stock exhaust, I dont recommend it though. Save your money and get an aftermarket setup. I have an Alba on mine and its loud as hell.

is that a glass pack? lmao the things people do to make a buck. the only reason i have not changed my pipe is for the reason of having the carb torn apart again. huge headache for just a small gain. i kinda like being quiet. i can go fast where your not supposed to go fast and you wont be heard a mile away giving it hell. just my 2 cents. if i had a raptor or something, i would probably consider a jet kit and a new pipe, then upgrade the clutch, chain and sprockets too while i am modding. that will really wake up one of those machines.
