Default Starter Coil not working. Need Help.

Hey,

I just received a Honda 200M 3 wheeler from my buddy for free! He's had it running about a month ago but now i can't get it to start. He says he thinks its the starter coil because when he pulled the wire off the spark plug there was no spark. I have no other idea what it could be. Does anyone know what else could keep it from sparking? Also I have no idea where i could buy another starter coil if it was screwed up. I really want to get to fixing it, so please help.

That is one item that it could be. Stator coil (under the flywheel), pickup coil (under the top left-side CDI cover on the engine), CDI black box, or ignition coil.

There are several postings in this forum on how to test each one.

If you figure out what it is, I have a parts 1983 200S that has all the items listed above - you can buy the stuff cheap!
