Default Best choice for replacement axle?

Does anyone have a recommendation for the best replacement axle for a 05 Sportsman 700EFI? I see some cheap ones on ebay for about $150-$200 and they claim a 1 year warranty, but I can't help being suspicious of them. I can get an OEM Polaris for about $250, and then there are the Gorilla and HighLifter Axles for $350 each. Where is my money best spent? I trail ride, play in the mud a little and plow my driveway in the winter. Is it worth the extra money for the Gorilla or Highlifter? Is there a head to head comparison of them anywhere? I have not been able to find anything.

Have ordered Gorilla for one customer, not that awful familiar with aftermaket drive shafts, but matched up to oem only visible difference to my naked eye was that the gorilla shaft was larger/beefier,dont know about the guts though! Some other members experienced with aftermarket assemblies should give you a better answer. Good luck

Thanks for the info. Are axle problems common from your experience? I have has several Polaris ATV's in the past, and this is the first axle problem I have had.

I will take a look. Thanks for the tip!

Does anyone know if I can just replace one at a time? Or if I have to replace both at once to keep things 'even' if I switch to something other than OEM?
