I have a 2000 polaris expedition 425. It's really hard to "find" nuetral. When down shifting, it goes from first to reverse, even while moving. Any ideas?

 

Reverse actuator on right side of engine(back box) may need replacement. Good luck

 

CAN YOU TELL ME HOW THIS BOX WORKS? WHAT IS THE LEVER IT PUSHES?

 

Havent had one back in service for years,but as far as I can remember,reverse activated by pressing foot brake and shifting down to engage reverse?If lockout not working and going into reverse when moving REPLACE module. Can manually shift by lever if electrical internal switch sticks. I replaced only one due to damage and no reverse at all.Probably why they made it only couple years! HARD to remember all machines and features without a manual in front of me!!! Good luck
