chains on 250 4x4 trail boss?

what is the correct way to tighten the front chains on a 250 trailboss 4x4 i got from another post on here how to do the rear just wondered if there was a special way on the front ones

what year trailboss, and you really should buy a manual it will really help in the long run, but the chain on the front of the bike has a hexbolt that pivots on a bracket, it should be just under the steering post. gimme the year and I will get you a diagram of what it looks like.

Adjust center chain first since it affects front chain slack. adjust to about 3/8' slack on center,about same on front. On tightening center chain,loosen center ecentric pinch bolts,if loose,can use a DULL punch on tabs on ecentric. has holes for adjustment through sprocket,but easier just to TAP towards rear to tighten,JUST dont break tabs! On front loosen,5/8" bolt underneath and can tap rearward to adjust chain

A little advice from experience on these older machines.Dont be surprised if you have to take the eccentrics out of the machine and clean the mud and debris before you can get them to turn.
