In truth I really do not know that much this is my first machine and I have only had it for a year or so.
well i recharged my battery, replaced the spark plug and filled the gas tank and it started and ran fine however when I tried starting it again a week and a half later it started but would not idle.
When I replaced my spark plug there was not much carbon on it but there was fuel on it is it possible that it is running to rich?

yea and when I put the new plug in it stated just fine. The fuel is fine I just put it in though I did put fuel stabilizer would that effect it at all?
If the carb is gummed up how would I go about cleaning it?

drain the tank, and put some new fuel in it.. but, if you don't know how to rebuild/clean one, you should be able to find a local guy that can clean it it.. that's probably all it is, bad fual, some what dirty/gummed up carb, and that's all...
fuel is easy enough.. if you get a long piece of fuel line tubing, you can drain into an empty gas can..
I hope it's not messed up fuel lines.. a friend says that seafoam messed up his fuel lines... it worked okay for me, but i don't think i'll use anything buy stabil.
when i tried it to clean out my carb (deep creep), it was very difficult to keep running, and it died and was tough to get restarted.
drain the fuel.. or, if it's mostly out, refil with super unleaded
taking it off isn't hard, at all..
if you can't get it done, find a local guy to rebuild it
