I own a TRX250X with a modified ATC350X motor in it. The quad has plenty of power but the suspension needs to be upgraded. I am comsidering doing a 250R front end converstion for more travel and a wider stance. I believe both Leager and a company called ATVRacing make a kit to do this. Does anyone have any experiences, good or bad, with either of thes kits?

 

I did this swap on my 250x with 350x motor. Although I made my own conversion kit.

If you want a better rear end on the 250x you can use the 350x rear but you need to make wider pivot end caps. I did it on my 91 250x,350x. It was worth the work. The 350x swingarm is about 1.5" longer and the shock is a resivoir shock with compresion and rebound adjustments. The shock is nitrogen filled and I had to move the resivoir connection then get the shock re filled with nitrogen.

 

You are talking aboutthe shock towers i have a 95 TC405ex with this mod and i am using +2 a arms w/ pep shocks Make sure you get a professional Tig welder to do this job and you should have no problems do not stick weld this part tig it

 

I had a guy I know put 250R a-arms on his 250x and he said it was REAL wide, but there was a problem with the camber or caster?
