I have a 1998 fourtrax 300 4x4 that I just bought. I was really excited because it looks brand new, and isnt missing anything. Right away I had trouble starting it. It had been sitting for a while, so I drained the gas and put in some fresh stuff. Still no luck, I eventually found out that the mechanic the previous owner hired a mechanic to clean the carb. It looked like he squeezed the slow jet with some pliers. I replaced it and it runs good now... but now, what I think is the clutch, is making noise.

It doesnt make any noise when Im in neutral, but after I shift into gear and give it a little throttle it clicks. The clicking speeds up as the rpms do. Im not sure exactly what it is and dont want to go into the engine without knowing.

One more question. I replaced the slow jet with a 38, stock is a 40. Any chance this could cause a problem?
