sportsman 500 ho no spark

sportsman 500 ho no spark
I have a 01 sportsman 500 ho will run 5 to 10 minutes then spark quits. Took black wire off from cdi I think it will run forever touch wire back and dies.
Any help would be appreciated thanks.

Either cdi kill circuit bad in module or emergency switch shorted probably somewhere in harness going into pod,OR emergency switch itself bad. Try the shorts first before buying a cdi!
