Used my Polaris 2500# winch for the first time today and when I put a hard pull on it my 2006 700 EFI Stalled. I was keeping the RPM up and it stated to run rough and then stalled. I could not get it to start again until I jumped it with my tractor. It would turn over but not start. The Battery voltage on the dash read 11.6 volts. Any Ideas?

 

Sounds like the battery is not taking / holding charge. Battery should be over 14 volts at high idle. & should also hold plenty of charge to winch. Would change out battery.

 

if you used the winch and lights or what have you alot then it kill drain the battery and the charging system will not keep up w/ it. the bike needs around 12.5 volts to keep running hence it ran like crap and then died.
