OK, here it is.....difficult to start due to a hick-up when idling...happens about every 5-10 seconds.....runs like a raped ape when I'm riding it - no power loss or upper rpm issues....just won't idle like it should. Almost acts like the timing is off, but I know that can't be adjusted.
I have pulled the carb and completely cleaned it, changed the plug, and adjusted the valves while I had all the plastic off it. Still no change - I'm guessing it might be electrical in nature and wanted to post this for a possible easy fix or another suggestion before I get into trouble shooting the electrics.
ANY IDEAS?

Plug was replaced with new one, drained/cleaned tank, have air filter off so that is not a issue, lines are all solid - no cracks/holes, engine sucks my hand up to inlet and holds it good so I know I don't have carb leaks.
Vacuum cylinder oscillates in bore like it should.

does it make a pop sound when it hickups? try richening you pilot jet by 1/4 turn OUT at a tim until you dont have the problem anymore.
pilot jet is located outside the bowl twords the cylinder, small brass skrew. if your runing a little lean at idol then the pilot jet needs to be richened.
give it a try

I appreciate the input....Went back and tore the carb again and cleaned it out..must have blown out something that was hung up cause it's purring like a kitten now. Tape on starter button to fire it up and falls back into nice steady idle.
