Hey guys I found a leak under my 98 Trail Boss and haven't had time to really look at it. The oil is reddish in color and can someone tell what it could be please. I really don't know too much about Polaris machine aw hell I really don't know much about anything really but would like to know what it is.

 

where the trail boss's 2strokes? im not a popo guy. red is usually tranny fluid for cars. so mabe tranny gear oil?

 

You might have a front hub seal leaking they sometimes put transmission fluid in them. Look on the inside of your front rim.

yeah it's a 2 stroke.

 

you'll have to see where its coming from to pin point it. hub fluid will be at the hub only area or transmission fluid back behind the engine area. unless your running like klozs oil for the 2 stroke oil it would be greenish/brown maybe by the oil tank.

 

Red fluid, huh??? say, where do you live anyway? my dog's been missing for a few days, followed his tracks out to the road, then they just stopped, also found some "red fluid" as well, I may have to have CSI come and do some DNA testing on your quad !!!!!!!!!!![img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img][img]i/expressions/devil.gif[/img][img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-tongue.gif[/img]
