I had to drain the diff fluid in the front diff this weekend and was wondering if it is o.k. to use standard 80-90w gear oil or should I strickly use 80w as it states on the diff. case?

80-90 gearlube will be fine. Do not use synthetic unless it specifies for Limited-Slip differentials.

Also remember to add some GM limited slip differential additive. If you don't you will develope a chatter noise in the front differential when turning.
